Video: When People Flee: ABA ROLI's Program for Syrian Refugees in Turkey

In 2013, ABA ROLI conducted an assessment of over 900 Syrians living in Jordan and Lebanon to document their reasons for leaving Syria. Through this assessment, ABA ROLI learned of the dire legal and access to justice needs of Syrians living in neighboring countries. In response, ABA ROLI launched a project with the US State Department PRM and Turkish bar association to train lawyers on how to provide legal information and promote legal awareness and services to Syrians living in Turkey. Watch our interview with Niki Dasarathy, Senior Advisor with ABA ROLI, about the program which started in 2014.
