Recently, an ABA ROLI-administered program, funded by USAID, connected a delegation from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan with an opportunity to learn about U.S. intellectual property litigation and alternative methods for resolving intellectual property disputes.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with members from law firms and entities specializing in intellectual property and export controls. Accompanied by the Honorable Becky Thorson, Magistrate Judge, District of Minnesota, they visited the George Washington University Law School, USAID, the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the Supreme Court of the United States, and the Federal Judiciary Center. The Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan also covered their visit in a press release. Learn more about ABA ROLI’s work in Kazakhstan here.
